Mahjong Connect Daily Puzzle: New Board, Same for Everyone
Mahjong Connect has a Daily Puzzle every day. Every player in the world gets the exact same board, so it's perfect for racing family and friends, or as a little wake-up game with your morning coffee.

When does it change?
The Daily Puzzle changes at midnight UTC. Every puzzle has a number: #1 was October 1, 2026, and it goes up by one each day.
The board is generated from the date. Same day, same board, no matter which country you're in or whether you're on a phone or a computer.
How big is the board?
The Daily Puzzle is always the medium board: 12 × 7, which is 84 tiles or 42 pairs. When you hold your phone upright, the board rotates to fit the tall screen, and the tiles stay the same size, so they're easy to tap.
How is time counted?
The clock starts when the board appears and stops when you clear the last pair. Hints and undos don't add time, but they're listed in your result. If you hit a dead end, the tiles reshuffle automatically, and the number of shuffles is recorded too.
You can replay the same day's puzzle, but only your first finished game counts for your daily record.
Streaks
Finish once a day and your streak goes up by one. Miss a day and it starts over. Your record is saved in the browser on this device, so switching phones or clearing your browser data will wipe it.
Sharing your result
After you clear the board, tap "Share result". It copies a short text you can paste straight into a group chat:
- Line one is the puzzle number,
- Line two is your time,
- Line three is how many hints, undos and shuffles you used,
- And the link goes at the end.
The text doesn't include your board, so there are no spoilers. Your friends can still take on the same puzzle themselves.
Why every board can be cleared
Before a puzzle goes out, the computer solves it from start to finish with a solver. If it can't find a solution, it reshuffles and tries again until the board is sure to be clearable. The auto-shuffle when you're stuck works the same way: every new layout gets checked again.

I missed yesterday's puzzle. Can I still play it?
For now you can only play today's puzzle. Want more practice? Pick a board size in Free Play and play as many games as you like.
Will there be a leaderboard?
It's coming. Once it's here, you'll sign in with your Mahjong Academy account to upload your Daily Puzzle results and compare times with the whole world.
I'm in a different time zone. Do I get a different puzzle?
No. The puzzle changes at the same moment everywhere in the world. It just shows up at a different local time for you.
